ABOUT OUR TEAM - D4

Leadership Madison County (LMC) is the Madison County Chamber’s signature program designed to develop potential leaders for Madison County, Mississippi. This program provides the foundation for a lifelong commitment to leadership by creating awareness of key issues that affect Madison County.

 

Approximately 20 individuals participate annually in the nine month program (through day-long sessions) looks at the inner workings of Madison County.  They represent a cross section of the community, including business, organized labor, education, government, health services and community organizations.

 

Team D4 members consist of Bryan Buckley, Nashandra James, Trent Nelson, Janet Parker, and Robert Richard.

 

Our mission is to combine our shared experiences and expertise to work together as a team to bring about positive change in Madison County.

MEET THE TEAM

Bryan Buckley

 

Bryan Buckley is an Assistant District Attorney assigned to the Madison County office in Canton. An experienced prosecutor, Bryan began his legal career as an Assistant District Attorney (ADA) for Hinds County.

 

Bryan received his Bachelor of Science Degree from Mississippi College in 1994 and his Juris Doctorate from the University of Mississippi School of Law in 1997. While attending law school, he was a winner of the Steen, Reynolds and Dalehite 1996 Trial Competition and a member of the National Trial Competition Team in 1997. Bryan is also a graduate of the National District Attorneys Association Prosecutors College and the Regional Counter-Drug Training Academy.

Nashandra James

 

Nashandra James is a mother, wife, educator, and life-long learner.  Currently, she works for Madison County Schools as an Instructional Media Administrator. Nashandra has worked in the field of education for more than 15 years.  She has had the pleasure to share her passion of technology with students in several Madison County Schools.

 

Nashandra is a member of several educational professional organizations including the Junior League of Jackson. Born and raised in Jefferson County, she is also a graduate of The University of Southern Mississippi and Mississippi State University.  

Janet Parker

 

Janet Parker serves as the outreach and development manager at Innovate Mississippi, where she develops and cultivates business partnerships throughout the state and is a proud mother of two.

Previously, she was vice president of public relations for Maris, West & Baker Advertising and has over 20 years of sales, marketing, public relations, executive training/coaching, meeting moderation and television experience.

A native of Illinois (and a southerner at heart) she received a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration with a concentration in marketing from the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana and was named among the Top 10 Business Women in Mississippi in 2012 by the Mississippi Business Journal.

Trent Nelson

 

Trent Nelson has been in Banking and Finance industry since 2008 and is currently a Branch Manager for BankPlus. He is a lifelong Madison county resident and actively seeks opportunities to give back to the community he loves.
 
Trent is a graduate of Holmes Community, Mississippi School of Banking, and a graduate candidate for the class of 2016 Leadership Madison County. He was also voted by his peers as the 2015 Madison County Chamber of Commerce Best of Madison County “Rising Star”.

Robert Richard

 

Robert Richard has been working in the field of Banking/Finance since 2010.  He has a lovely wife of 20 years, Nicole.  Robert and Nicole has two children; Dylan (senior) Ian (freshman) at Germantown High School.  He has been a resident of Madison County since 2005.  He now calls Madison County, Home!  Although we are originally from Biloxi, we still have a love for the Gulf. 

 

He enjoys being involved in the community as a way to give back, whether it be coaching youth baseball, involved in Rotary, or being on the board of directors for the Madison County Chamber of Commerce.  He continually looks for giving back opportunities.
